Torrington Sober Houses is a non-judgmental
organization. We embrace all races, creeds and religions
equally. We feel abstinence is the first step in your
challenge toward a drug free life. Sobriety requires
positive change. Drug and alcohol treatment will only
be successful when you are ready and willing to undergo
real changes in your day-to-day life. You and only you
are responsible for these changes.
Our goal is to provide
a structured, caring environment free from drugs and
alcohol. We are unique in that we try to offer a new
way of life. A life of hope and greater opportunity to
develop the changes needed for recovery.
We encourage our residents
to be proactive in their recovery from drugs/alcohol.
They must specifically address their own needs and
problems while building on strengths and tapping into
their inner resources.
Also, we know that chemical
dependency is a real disease. It impacts on you and
those who you love.
Our residential sober living
affords you the time to develop skills to build a rich
and full life. You will know when the time is right
to move out and up with your life. AA/NA meetings,
housing meetings, sponsors will all play a major role
in this endeavor.
We envision a sober community
that works together to create an environment of growth,
support and accountability for everyone. Therefore, we
stress our primary goal of helping residents focus
on recovery as a way of life. We stress that lasting
sobriety requires a transformation in attitudes and
behavior each day for the rest of your life.
us immediately, if you are will to take that first
step and make that commitment.
